Yeah Yeah

I do realize my blog is boring. I am trying to come up with more entertaining content so that I don't have to force people to read my blog or beg for you to follow it. The problem is try and force.

Plus I am not really writing for readers, but again I am trying. Lately I am house crazy, I wanna own it! Renting in this economy pssshhh. Something low key that can house stuff but be left to itself for months on end should I ever grow a pair and vagabond for a bit or if Michael ever gets the Syncro.

I like the way these chandeliers can look if you put them in a simple room. Like the one in my last post.

www.countrycritter.com

Plus who doesn't want to outfit their house in stuff from websites like countrycritter.com or Cabela's. I mean seriously. I also think we could DIY this with some old deer antlers or leftovers from Mike's uncle's taxidermy business.

I need a porch that I own pronto! I think my savings account is for a porch fund instead of an emergency account. I did some research and it should fully return the investment.

I just lost motivation to make this blog less boring....mid-blog post

Excited...for something

Pretty rad new plane unveiled by Southwest today called the "Florida One". Hopefully I can take it on a sweet vacation.

I am very desperate to get out of here for a bit. I am waiting for credits to post to my account so I can book my ticket to Seattle and see Andrew for the first time since he moved. It is crazy when all of your best friends move away. I can't believe it has been 2 years since Andrew left and Brittany has been gone 3 years now. It is nice to have people to visit but I liked it better when I could see everyone's face on a regular basis.

Lucky for Orlando it still holds Brian and Jordan (and Ravenous Pig, Jeremiah's, Little Saigon, etc.) or else I might never visit.

I want to go so many places this year and I finally have some money to travel but not enough vacation to go everywhere. What a shitty trade off. I used to have no money to travel but all the time off I could ever want. Got some money but with it came limited time off. I need to take a Leave of Absence from the real world real quick.

When I grow up I want to be a vagabond (with a house to keep all my sweet souvenirs and pictures)

Impulse shopping...sort of

I have been trying not to spend my money on "stuff" lately and had been doing an OK job at it according to my savings account. I transferred every extra dollar into my savings account last week and left myself with less than $100 bucks to get through two weeks. I remember when that would have been a shit ton to me since I used to think impulse shopping was buying a coke slurpee.

Apparently I have forgotten what it is like to not have money in my account ever and this short test has been nice, but then all of a sudden today I thought I deserved a "treat" for not blowing all my money at Target out of boredom. I bought this awesome book for less money than I was going to spend on TOMS. Not as exciting as happening upon it at a yard sale or thrift store for $10 but still a pretty nice "impulse buy"

Looking for inspiration

Jordan and I went to Mama Nem's on Friday. So delicious! I think if I ate like this all the time I would feel like poo all the time. But I believe everything in moderation is ok for you. I mean how can you not feel great when you are eating something made from the soul.

Speaking of which, that is a soul I wish I had. Mama Nem is a woman who grew up in rural Florida learning to bake and cook with only ingredients she had available on their family farm. I love looking into the history of why certain dishes are served a particular time of year. In our world we eat things when we crave them but they originated around when ingredients were in season, including animal slaughters.

The cookbook I use hands down the most is this one. It is autographed "Eat More Grits" and it talks about how dishes came about in their family. I wish I had a black Mammy that taught me how to cook and bake southern classics but I just have to teach myself and insert my own soul.

P.S.- I ran out of motivation halfway through my post about inspiration hah. But what I was trying to get at is that I wish I was black in some ways.
